Categorically Crafting Show Advice, Please!!!!

As I said a few days ago when I announced that I was pregnant, there will be some changes to this blog. It just seems to take so much time. I started it as a way to save cute craft ideas I wanted to make, but didn't want it taking up my personal blog. It has transformed into something much bigger than I ever imagined. I make a little money from it, but not much to justify the time I spend on the computer. .One of the things I have considered changing is Categorically Crafting. It takes at the bare minimum an hour to get the post up. Usually, it takes about 2 hours. I try to highlight at least 5 projects and have a linky. That is time away from my young family..I have given the option for other bloggers to gather the projects and make a post. They get to include one project from their blog in the round-up. In exchange for their time, I will put their button in the post as the host of that Categorically Crafting Show. Only two bloggers took me up on the offer. They got well over 100 views the day of the party. .So I want to know what you think of the Categorically Crafting Shows. Is it something you like? Is it something you link to? Do you check out any of the links at the party? If I don't have a round-up, would you miss that? Should I keep it going weekly? Only on special ocassions? Or never? Would you want to be the host of a Categorically Crafting Show one week?.I would love for you to leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. If you don't want to leave a comment, please take the quick survey on the side!.Thanks for your patience with me as I am trying to balance this blog with my family and a job..(Oh, I do have some openings for advertising. 2010 Top Ten

At the beginning and even at the middle of 2010, I would do a top ten of projects I featured. The ones I liked the best, the ones that were the most popular, etc, but with over 1000 projects featured, there is NO WAY I can narrow my favorites down to TEN!!! IMPOSSIBLE! So I thought since so many of you are doing a top ten on your blog or highlighting some of your favorites, I would do a linky highlighting you and your best. Make a handmade tic-tac-toe game with pictures of your family for a great family gift. (Even when you are not using it, it still looks adorable.) See this at Craft Goodies.

For that hard to shop for person, you could make these cute handwashing snowflake soaps (or any other pattern you can find.) See how Suzy's Artsy Crafty Sitcom made them.

Ever stick a bow from a present on your head and pretend for it to be part of a real bow. With Attempting Aloha's help you can made a ribbon present bow for a clip or a headband for your daughters. I think these are simply so cute!

Use some leftove wood to make a wooden Christmas tree forest! Darling! Houseful of Handmade came up with this idea!

Use your festive Christmas ribbons to make a happy little ribbon tree like She's Kinda Crafty!

Peggy Ann Designs made scrapbook paper Christmas trees into an advent! How fun!

I've never seen a tree made out of cushions, but isn't this one at Ministry of Deco really cool! A satin pillow/cushion Christmas Tree! WOW!

I've never had a flocked tree, but I sure think they are pretty! Love the browns and blues on this white tree at Centsational Girl!
