Don't you love the way that And Then There Was Home displays her childrens' books on these DIY ledges? The kids can see all the titles and pictures and can choose what they want instead of scattering the books all over the floor! Great idea that doesn't cost that much money to implement! What a dreamy reading area!
The queen of repurposing, Gail at My Repurposed Life, turned a louvered door into a hall tree or shelving! She's not done yet, but I'm loving what I see so far.
I don't know about you, but my bookcases look messy and cluttered and full of....stuff. When I see beautiful bookcases and shelves, I'm a little jealous at their loveliness. Three Mango Seeds liked some shelves she saw in Ballard Design so much, she made her own for her office/sewing room. Besides being completely functional, they are totally cute! Check out the dimensions of wood and how made them.
Liz Marie used mason jars to create this unique and functional storage rack for her bathroom supplies. I really like it. No unscrewing lids or fumbling with boxes (and it is out of reach for the little kids).

The Evolution of Home liked the Pottery Barn truck shelf, but didn't like the $130 price. So she knocked-it off for a dollar! A truck shelf like this would look adorable in a boy's rooms! My son would think it is the greatest ever. (And it looks really easy to make.)
